Senior Awards - hank you to everyone who participated in the 2010 Senior Awards Program last Monday evening. Over 200 seniors were recognized and earned close to 4 million in scholarships and grants! Department awards and scholarships were presented by:

Thanks go to - Phil Dominguez, Lynn Greer and Joyce Scudellari. Presenters were: Phil Dominguez, Gina Aguilar and Amy Selof. Behind the scene help came from Tonia Latorre, Brianne Gullotti Yvette Kettering, Tempa Davidson.

Congratulations to - Rich Medellin for being named Orange County Track Coach of the Year!

Congratulation to - Kressler Nguyen and the 9th & 10th grade decathlon team. They competed on Saturday, May 29th at Laguna Hills High School and here are the results:

Alex Hizon - 4th speech
Christine Wong - 5th science
Julie Yoo - 4th math
Irene Park - 5th math
James Shin - 5th math
Keziah Choi - 4th music, 4th science, 5th social science
Ryan Flynn - 1st essay, 5th place overall (division two)

Thanks to - JR and his Yearbook crew for a great job of the organization and handing out the yearbooks.

End of Year Staff Club Breakfast - Don't forget our End-of-School year Breakfast which will be held at the Yorba Linda Country Club on Friday, June 18th at 7:30am. This will be a good time for all!

Students Reminder of Finals Bell Schedule - Please remind your students that we will be on a minimum day finals bell schedule starting Tuesday, June 15th.

For Your Planning - Summer Schedule will start the week of June 21st; Esperanza's main campus office will be closed on Fridays. We will be working a four-day 10 hour week thought August 12th. The office will be closed starting Monday, July 19th - August 9th. The office will open on Tuesday, August 10th. Make sure you secure your computers, overhead projectors, etc. in a safe and secure area over the summer. Also back up all your information on a disk to take home with you.

I just wanted to thank everyone for making this a fantastic school year! You are all very caring and professional and this shows with all the awards, our high college entrance rate and all the championships our students have earned this year.

Even though next year we are going through some major renovations with the campus construction, I know Esperanza in years to come will be better than ever.
